Dear Members of the Hamilton Community,
On Tuesday, April 12, 29 people were injured in a shooting on a moving N-train in Brooklyn, New York. Among those injured, 10 were shot, five of whom were students commuting to school. Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community, and we at
The Spectator
extend our sincerest support to our peers who consider New York City their home.
On a different note, the Hamilton community has reached 189 active COVID-19 cases, a record for the College. We know it is difficult to revert to previous policies, especially those that limit some of the freedoms we have enjoyed this semester. However, we are almost at the end of the school year, and there are so many wonderful things to look forward to if we remain careful and thoughtful as a community in our response to the reinstatement of old policies.
Hang in there: tents are up, Food Trucks are out and about, and the sun teases us with its occasional (yet desperately needed) doses of Vitamin D.
Best,
Eric and Emma Mae
