On behalf of everyone at
The Spectator
, we would like to say thank you to our Editor-in-Chief Will Kaback ’20.
Whether or not you know him personally, we can assure you that Will has positively impacted you. He has worked tirelessly for over a year to ensure that important and interesting information of the highest quality is available to the Hamilton community every single week. No one puts in more effort than Will.
The Spectator
has been Will’s ship since Spring ’18, and he has steered a staff of over 50 students with incredible integrity and a strong sense of direction throughout his tenure as Editor-in-Chief.
From a student’s perspective, we are grateful for the work he has put in to make everyone’s stories accessible to the community. From an editor’s perspective, we cannot thank him enough for fostering an empowering working environment and welcoming sense of community.
It’s easy to get caught up in coursework, extracurriculars, and your own personal life, but Will never let that get in the way of getting the news out to the community. We can only hope that we can continue his legacy and build off of the rock-solid foundation he has left us in the newsroom.
As the incoming Editors-in-Chief of
The Spectator
, we have gotten the opportunity to work closely with Will and see his dedication to journalism and this paper upfront. We feel very lucky to have had his guidance as we enter our new roles and we know we speak for the staff at large when we say that Will’s hard work and passion for the paper has left a lasting mark on this publication.
Thank you, Will! Please get some sleep.
Sincerely,
Amanda Kim ’21 & Claire Goldstein ’22
