The drinks
Sometimes during the day, you need a pick-me-up that the dining halls just cannot provide (although the Diner cappuccino machine gives its best shot). It is times like this that Euphoria has the potential to come into the picture — with its central location, cheaper prices and speed, the cafe is an appealing option. But which of their products are worth it?
Before I tell you my favorites, I have to offer a disclaimer: I am not a big fan of sweet drinks. I love a good coffee just as much as anyone else, but the artificially sweet flavors are just not for me (sorry to the Dunkin’ Caramel and Vanilla fans).
For my taste, the drinks that are most worth it to me are the frappes. First off, Euphoria has the monopoly on that type of coffee-based slushy drink, and it just hits the spot. The pistachio one was amazing and had a surprisingly realistic pistachio flavor. The chai frappe was very sweet, but it still had some good cardamom and cinnamon flavor without being too overpowering. The matcha frappe tasted exactly like green tea ice cream (in the best way possible). For less than $5, the frappes are going to be my go-to sweet drink treat.
The other drinks that deserve an honorable mention are the smoothies which — hot take potentially — I do not really love. The addition of a banana and yogurt make Euphoria’s definitively better than Fojo’s, but I can still taste the syrup in every sip. The berry smoothies definitely taste more artificial, so the tropical oasis was definitely my favorite flavor.

The eats
Bagel breakfast sandwiches. If you are not already sold, reconsider your priorities. But seriously, I am still thinking about my jalapeno bagel with egg, cheese and hot sauce. At first, I was disappointed that they did not have veggie sausage, but the sandwich was so good that I did not even notice. I also tried their chipotle sauce, but in the future I am going to stick with the regular hot sauce. The chipotle tasted smoky and delicious, but it was really creamy in a way that made the bagel too rich and soft. The asiago bagel was also really good, but I do not think I will ever stray from my trusty everything bagel. If you are just getting a bagel, I would stick with the Fojo one (for the chive cream cheese), but I will definitely be coming back to Euphoria for the bagel breakfast sandwiches.
The mac n’ cheese that I have heard so much about. I was worried it would not hold up to all the rave reviews, but I had nothing to worry about. It is warm and cheesy, with garlicky bread crumbs and plenty of black pepper. Definitely a smaller portion, so I would not recommend it for a whole meal, but as an in between class snack, it would definitely hit the spot.
The hummus was both a pleasant surprise and a let down. The hummus itself tasted fresh, and I could have eaten it with a spoon. However, that is exactly what I had to do, because of the pitiful baggy of carrots that came with it (7 measly babies). If I had brought my own carrots or pita chips, then it would have been more of a success. That is on me for not having those in my backpack.
Overall, my favorites were definitely the frappes, mac and cheese and bagel breakfast sandwiches. If you are in a rush, definitely grab one of the pumpkin muffins (with melty mini chocolate chips). I do not know if I will be visiting Euphoria that often, but I definitely think I will start craving a few of these options. Give them a try!
