Dear Hamilton Community,
Fall is in the air! After a few weeks of lingering summer warmth, the mornings have turned brisk, carrying a nostalgia that feels like waiting for the school bus with a backpack bigger than you were. The leaves on Green Apple Way are starting to change colors, so we encourage you to soak up the last rays of sun before the days grow shorter.
The official last day of summer is September 22nd (any fun plans for the 21st night of September?). As the seasons turn, it’s the perfect time to let go of any hesitation and fear of how you’ll be perceived. Put yourself out there. Try something new. Be spontaneous. Now is the time to jump into intramurals, join a club you’ve always been curious about, or do something outside of your comfort zone. The start of the year is all about new adventures.
Speaking of new beginnings, Seniors, the countdown is over… our first Senior Pub is tonight! This year will be full of firsts, lasts, and everything in between. Make the most of every moment!
As the semester picks up, the workload might start to hit hard–thesis deadlines, problem sets, and readings that never seem to end. But in between, remember to take a breath. Step outside and spend time with friends. These small pauses are what keep you grounded, and they’re as much a part of your college experience as the late nights
in Burke.
So here’s to leaning into the shift of seasons and saying yes to the spontaneity of life on the Hill!
Sincerely,
The Spectator
