In 2020, Hamilton had a new vision for the Alumni Gym. This past January, the college completed a six-month and $2 million dollar renovation of the auxiliary gym. The overhaul was done to fix safety concerns and to provide another space for both varsity basketball programs, Physical Education classes, and recreational activites. The original gym was built in 1940 and has only been renovated one other time: in 1978 to accomodate for the merger of Hamilton and Kirkland Colleges.
