
Tate Suratt ’23 currently plays at the first position for Hamilton squash as a first-year. Beyond Hamilton, Suratt is ranked 319 of all men on U.S. Squash. This past weekend he went 2–1, defeating both his Dension and Amherst opponents. His only loss of the weekend was a close match that ended in 5 games. He is currently 5–7 for the 2019–2020 season and will play Colby on Saturday, Feb. 1.

How did you get introduced to squash:
My hometown club had an after school squash program with my friends from middle school and we all just stuck with it.
What is your favorite thing to do on campus besides your sport?
Making art in KTSA.
What attracted you to Hamilton’s squash program?
Mainly the coach, Jamie King or “Kinger,” who has made squash even more enjoyable since being here.
What has been your favorite sports moment at Hamilton?
Being able to play at home and having friends come to support me.
What are you most looking forward to this season?
Hanging out with the team on road trips.
If you weren’t on the squash team, what Hamilton sports team would you want to be on and why?
Soccer, I played soccer up until I was 14 and then had to stop because of squash.
