Maggie Reville ’22 had a career-high of 22 saves — the most saves by a Hamilton goaltender since 2012 — in field hockey’s overtime loss against Williams last Tuesday. Reville’s outstanding performance in the goal to keep the score tied and sent the Continentals into overtime. She is ranked second in the NESCAC for saves with 79 so far this season.

How did you get introduced to field hockey:
I started playing in middle school when I was required to play a fall sport. I had knee issues that made it hard to run, so they had me play goalie and I have been playing ever since!
What is your favorite thing to do on campus besides your sport?
I like to go to the dining halls on campus with my friends and teammates for “commons hangs.” I also enjoy getting to play lacrosse in the spring.
What attracted you to Hamilton’s field hockey program?
It was all about the people for me. The coaches are so nice, and I really liked all of the people on the team when I came to visit. Also, we have an amazing program and astro field.
What was the toughest obstacle to overcome during athletic career?
The toughest obstacles I have had to overcome would be injuries, including an ankle sprain last year, as well as other injuries during the lacrosse season.
What was your favorite sports moment at Hamilton?
Winning against Amherst on Goodfriend field with a lot of fans there to support us. I was also able to stop my first penalty stroke of my career.
What are you most looking forward to this season?
I most looking forward to hanging out with my teammates and getting to play good, competitive NESCAC games.
If you weren’t on the field hockey team, what Hamilton sports team would you want to be on and why?
Tennis because being good at tennis is a life skill.
