Dear Hamilton Community,
We offer our sincere condolences for your sleep schedules as the time of midterms approaches. We know you will do great! If you haven’t already taken a drive down to the cider mill, make sure you do so soon… a cup of loaded baked potato soup will give you just enough brain power to finish that paper.
Looking for something to do? There are many events on campus over the next week to keep you busy. Most exciting on the list is Hamilton Fall Fest on Sept. 30 on the Village Green! There will be pumpkin painting, cider mill goodies and a scavenger hunt. The first 150 students to complete the hunt win a t-shirt! Need some exercise? Head on over to the Ham and Legs 5K fun run and walk at 12:00 p.m. on Sept. 29. You like jazz? Professor Stephen Wu will be performing a concert comprising jazz pieces, classical tunes and contemporary songs alongside professors Heather Buchman, Mackenzie Cooley, “Doc” Michael Woods and Director of the Jazz Archive Monk Rowe. Curious about art? On Oct. 4 from 4:30–6:00 p.m. there will be an in-person conversation between Assistant Professor of Art History Dr. Nadya Bair and artist Rhona Bitner, whose work is currently on display within the Wellin Museum. And stay on the lookout for an email announcing a new performer headlining CAB’s Fall Concert.
Our podcasts are on the way, and we are set to release a couple exciting episodes next week! Look out for a QR code provided in print which will take you right to the episodes. Make sure you catch this week’s spotlight on the upcoming Philosophy in Film conference which will be occurring during Oct. 21–22. Feeling lost? Remember to check out your
