
Women’s Hockey
The NESCAC women’s hockey championships are approaching the semifinals round. They will be hosted by Middlbury College this Saturday, March 7, with the champsionship game held the following day, Sunday, March 8. Hamilton will face Middlebury at 1 P.M., while Amherst will face №2 Colby at 4 P.M.
Men’s Hockey
The Men’s NESCAC ice hockey semifinals and championship game will also be held this upcoming weekend. The men’s teams will be hosted by №1 Williams College. Hamilton will face Trinity at 1 P.M and Wesleyan will face Williams at 4 P.M. The winners of these matchups will play each other on Sunday, March 8 at 2 P.M.
Women’s Basketball
The third seed Bowdoin Polars Bears defeated the previously undefeated Tufts Jumbos 70–60 on Sunday, March 1. This was the first title for the Polar Bears since 2009, who lost to the Jumbos in the championships last season. With the win, Bowdoin secured an automatic bid to the NCAA D3 tournament.
Men’s Basketball
The tournament’s number one seed, the Tufts Jumbos, finished as number one this season. The Jumbos defeated the Colby Mules 102–94 in a thrilling game that went into double overtime after Tufts’ Eric Savage hit a three pointer with three seconds left in regulation. This was Tufts’ first NESCAC championship win in history.
Women’s Swim and Dive
The Williams College Ephs were triumphant for the seventh consecutive year at the NESCAC Swimming and Diving Championships this year. Williams won half of the events (12 of 24) and total over 1,930 points to secure the win, over 400 points higher than this year’s runner-up: the Tufts Jumbos.
Men’s Swim and Dive
The Eph’s men’s team was also trimphant at the 2020 NESCAC Swimming and Diving Champsionships. However, unlike the women’s team, the men were victorious in their home pool. The Williams men scored 1.987.5 points which is the most at a NESCAC championship since their own record in 2015 of 2,066 points.
