
Field Hockey
The Continentals went 1–1 this weekend with a win against Colby on Saturday and a loss to 11th ranked Bates on Sunday.
On Saturday, goals by Sammy Higgins ’26 and Lydon Kelley ’25 led to a 2–1 over Colby. This was Kelley’s third goal in three games and Higgins first of the season. The Continentals led for most of the game, with a last minute goal making the match seem more competitive then it was. On Sunday, Hamilton lost 2–1 to Bates with a Hamilton goal with 4 minutes left in the game by Claire Tratnyek ’26. Five of the team’s eight shots were in the final quarter as the team attempted to rally back.
Hamilton travels to Connecticut College for their next contest on October 12 at 11 a.m.
Women’s Soccer
Women’s Soccer lost to Colby 4–0 to start the weekend before smashing Bates 5–0 the following day.
Despite a 4–3 lead in corner kicks, the Continentals were unable to connect in the loss on Saturday. While the score may not indicate it, Hamilton kept the game close with a few crucial mistakes costing the game.
Bates stood no chance as Haley Cramer ’28 started the scoring early. Lauren Hanna ’25 and Isabel Harvey ’28 added on to end the first half up 3–0. Olivia Zubarik ’25 would score the final two goals, including a penalty shot in the 70th minute.
The Continentals continue NESCAC play with a road match at Connecticut College on October 12 at 11 a.m.
Women’s Volleyball
Elodie McGeiver ’27 had 17 kills in Hamilton’s Sunday win over Bowdoin, their first NESCAC win of the season and first victory over Bowdoin since 2001. After going 0–2, Hamilton rallied back to win the next three sets and the match. Hamilton registered 17 blocks, the most in one match in a year.
The Continentals also played on Saturday, narrowly losing to Colby in four sets. After winning the first set, Hamilton would lose the next three despite strong showings from Drew Stimson ’25, Pati Cerda ’26 and Elodie McGeiver ’27.
Hamilton travels for their next match to Wesleyan University on Friday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.

Women’s Golf
Hamilton College women’s golf finished in third place out of 14 teams in the Continentals’ own Hamilton Invitational. The Continentals are ranked 23rd nationally this week.
Aubrey Lee ’28 led the Continentals in fifth place out of 79 golfers. Sarah DeSanto ’25 finished in sixth place just one stroke behind Lee. Serena Bagga ’27 and Peyton Sichol ’26 tied for 14th place at 157 strokes. Olivia Strigh ’25 tied for 21st at 159 and Amy Lyon ’28 tied for 23rd at 160 in her first collegiate tournament. Sydney Dweck ’27 tied for 26th at 161 and Camille DeStefano ’28 tied for 33rd at 164.
Hamilton will wrap up the fall season with the Golfweek Division III Fall Invitational at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, F.L. this weekend.
Men’s Golf
Ramon Aroca Gonzalez ’26 led Men’s Golf to a runner-up finish out of eleven teams in the Continentals’ own Hamilton Invitational this past weekend. Gonzalez placed first in the tournament.
Eric Soderberg ’26 tied for fifth place out of 59 golfers at 149. Will Whittaker ’25 tied for eighth at 151. Brian Healy ’25 and Tyler Tornoe ’25 tied for 13th place at 153. Ryan Connors ’25 tied for 17th place at 154, and Henry Fey ’27 and Jake Hendelman ’28 tied for 28th at 158.
Hamilton competes in the Skidmore College Invitational at Saratoga Spa State Park Golf Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on Oct. 12 and 13.
