Dear Hamilton Community,
The sun is out, the sky is blue and the semester is winding down. As the school year comes to a close, don’t forget to keep an eye out for the numerous events Hamilton has around.
With only two more dates on April 25 at 7:30 p.m. and April 26 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., the theatre department’s production of The Underlying Chris closes soon. Professor Plakias, Associate Professor of Philosophy, is discussing her book Awkwardness: A Theory in LITS on Wednesday, April 30, at noon.
Green Week events continue on Friday, April 25, with tree planting at 12:00 p.m. outside the chapel to celebrate Arbor Day. Later, at 4:30 p.m., the Plants Club will host a Garden Box Event in the Science Center. On Friday, April 26, a Farmers Market will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Sadove Terrace.
Last week, The Spectator published an article on the last Common Ground of the semester, where the discussion on affirmative action was met with differing opinions on campus. On Thursday, May 1, there will be a follow-up Common Ground at 12:00 p.m. in the Events Barn, lunch provided. Moderated by Ty Seidule, the event will feature a conversation with Dean of Admission John McLaughlin.
Sincerely,
The Spectator
