As we publish our final issue of the 2018–19 school year,
The Spectator
would like to extend its thanks and well wishes to the graduating members of the staff.
Collectively, these six seniors have given their time, insight, and dedication to the paper with the shared goal of creating a quality publication tailored to our campus. Over the past four years, they have written, edited, proofread, designed, and posted the content that makes the
Spec
what it is. Further, they have been a source of leadership and guidance, helping facilitate the smooth transitions of younger writers and editors who will now run the paper in their stead.
Lucy Munves, our head production editor, is a stabilizing force who effortlessly blends hard work and fun into her role. She is a staple of the office on Wednesday nights.
Lili Christie brings humor and energy to the office in her role as a production editor, as well as great food recommendations.
Sophie Menashi, our web editor, took on the responsibility of maintaining our online presence this year and helps keep us connected to the world outside the Hill.
Grace Myers has been involved with the
Spec
for her entire Hamilton career. This year, as one of the Sports editors, she set the bar for quality in terms of writing, layout, and creativity. She anchored pages 14–16 and made it look easy.
Molly Geisinger is another
Spec
“lifer” who began writing as a first-year and progressed through the ranks to her current role of managing editor. Anyone who worked with her in that span will no doubt mention the positivity, expertise, and helpfulness that made her an invaluable leader.
Like Molly, Cilly Geranios started off writing for the paper as a first-year and quickly became a section editor, then a managing editor. Cilly’s masterful layouts have graced our pages ever since. More importantly, though, she has poured effort and thought into everything she does, all while serving as a genuine friend to all on the staff.
Once more, we extend our heartfelt thanks to these exceptional seniors and wish them the best as they move forward onto exciting futures. They will be missed.
All the best,
The Spectator
