How did you get introduced to football?
At a soccer practice my junior year of high school, the football coach came over to me with a football and a kickoff tee and asked me to kick the ball as far as I could. While there was no way to measure the distance on the kick, he said it had the right noise and asked me to kick the following year.
What is your favorite thing to do on campus besides your sport?
I’m part of Enseñar en Clinton, which is a group of kids that go to the Clinton Elementary School once a week to teach some of the students there some basic Spanish.
What attracted you to Hamilton’s football program?
I wanted to play football at a great academic institution and Hamilton was the best fit both academically and athletically.
What has been the toughest obstacle to overcome during your athletic career?
I had ulnar nerve transposition surgery (similar to Tommy John) on my right elbow when I was 15. Rehabbing from that took about a year and I didn’t feel like my arm was back to normal for a couple of years.
What was your favorite sports moment at Hamilton?
Upsetting Wesleyan on the road last year was great.
If you weren’t on the football (or baseball) team, what Hamilton sports team would you want to be on and why?
Soccer, because I played soccer for about 13 years before I switched to football my senior year of high school.
