
Women’s Hockey:
The women’s hockey team has begun their season 1–5, losing their first four games of the season, all to NESCAC opponents. They started the season ranked 8th in the nation and are now unranked. On Nov. 26, Hamilton notched their first win against SUNY Morrisville in a 5–1 victory. Heading into the game, they had not scored a single goal in the previous eight periods. Their five-goal performance marked a significant change of pace for their offense, as they tallied their most goals scored in one game since Jan. 27, 2023. So far this season, Lydia Bullock ’26 leads Hamilton with three points off two goals and one assist, earning her player of the month honors. Teagan Brown ’27 has played the majority of the minutes for Hamilton as the goaltender, allowing ten goals so far and totaling 117 saves for a save percentage of .921. Hamilton’s next game is against SUNY Canton on Saturday, December 7 in Canton, New York.
Men’s Hockey:
The men’s hockey team has started off their season strong, going 4–2 in their first six games. They began the season with three straight wins, including a 5–2 victory over Amherst College, a 5–1 victory over Anna Maria College and a 6–3 victory over Wesleyan University. The team then lost 2–3 to Trinity College in a close NESCAC matchup and then again to SUNY Fredonia at the Skidmore Invitational. However, Hamilton regained their momentum, defeating Skidmore College in their consolation matchup of the Skidmore Invitational thanks to a flurry of goals early on in the game. Luke Tchor ’27 leads Hamilton with ten points, including four goals and six assists. Alex Danis ’26 has also tallied four goals, tied with Tchor for the most goals scored of the team. Goaltenders Aksel Reid ’27 and Charlie Archer ’25 have split almost all of the minutes so far this season creating a strong tandem. Reid has allowed six goals and recording 69 saves and Archer has allowed seven goals and recording 73 saves. Jackson Krock ’26 was given player of the month honors with three goals and three assists for six points including his first career hat trick and four point performance against Amherst on Nov. 16. Hamilton’s next game is against Williams College on Friday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. at Russell Sage Rink for the annual Citrus Bowl.
Women’s Basketball:
The women’s basketball team has started their season 5–1, winning a combination of blowouts and close games. Hamilton beat Hartwick College 73–50, where they led handily throughout the game thanks in large part to Hannah Bernstein ’28’s 17 points on 5–7 shooting, including four threes. They followed up the win with another against SUNY Oneonta, this time in a 59–57 game that came down to the wire, sealed by a free throw by Taylor Lambo ’26 in the final seconds. Hamilton dropped their next game to SUNY Brockport in a 78–71 loss. The team rebounded in their next three games, ripping off three straight wins. In the first two, dominant wins against SUNY Morrisville and SUNY Polytechnic, Hamilton won by a total of 50 points. In their most recent game, Hamilton beat SUNY Geneseo in another close game, winning 67–64, closing out the game with a 7–0 run in the final minute 1:41 after being down four. Lambo was the player of the month with two double-doubles in the past five games along reaching double digits in four of them. Their next game is against the University of Rochester on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.
Men’s Basketball:
After an up and down three-game stretch to start the season, the Men’s Basketball team has bounced back by pulling off three straight close victories to reach a record of 5–1. They dominated Widener University in their first game of the season at Widener’s Tip-Off for Autism Awareness Tournament, where they took control of the game in the latter part of the second half thanks to a 20–4 run. However, Hamilton then fell to Stockton University, losing by 13 points despite a strong early start. They then got their offense back on track in a 93–76 victory over SUNY Geneseo, where Hank Morgan ’25 and Teja Singh ’25 combined for 47 points on a combined 16–24 shooting. Hamilton continued their momentum by narrowly winning their next three games: a 68–66 victory over SUNY Polytechnic, a 60–58 victory over Pacific Lutheran University and a 73–68 victory over the University of Puget Sound. Throughout their first six games of the season, the team has proven that they are capable of winning down the stretch in close games and by controlling games the entire way. Morgan was named NESCAC player of the week for Nov. 25 and has gotten a double-double in all six of Hamilton games, making him the player of the month. Hamilton’s next game is against Utica University on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.
