Dear Hamilton Community,
We hope everyone is having a lovely fifth week of classes and is getting prepared for the incoming cooler weather. If the recent campus switch from shorts to jeans is inspiring you to dive head-first into your cozy autumnal main character fantasy, make sure to check out Lily’s “Start of Semester” playlist on page 10 — Alex recommends giving Spoon’s “The Underdog” an extra listen on your eventual meanders across Martin’s Way. This week’s edition of
The Spectator
also brings you information on a potential new parking lot coming to campus, interviews with the managers of Fojo Beans and Euphoria Coffee about prices and some additional context on Parkhurst Dining’s new Green to Go Containers program.
Campus has lots of exciting events bubbling up in the coming weeks that are sure to educate and entertain. If you are into visual and performing arts, make sure to check out the Wellin’s latest free-for-students exhibition, “Rhona Bitner: Resound.” For those more interested in analyzing the intricacies of the cinema, mark your calendars for F.I.L.M.’s upcoming showing of Paul Miller’s Searching for Timbuctoo (2021) and stick around until the end of the screening to chat with Miller himself! If you have more of a green thumb, go to Robin Wall Kimmer’s on-campus lecture brought to you by the James S. Plant Distinguished Scientist Lecture Series next Monday, Sept. 25. And of course, be on the lookout for an email announcing a new performer headlining CAB’s Fall Concert.
