
Men’s Lacrosse
The men’s lacrosse team fell to 14th- ranked Middlebury College on Wednesday, April 2, losing 8-14 in a game where Hamilton never led. Despite another strong performance by Frank Coyle ’26, who put up five points in the game and leads the team in points and assists, the Continentals never could close Middlebury’s lead past the second quarter. The Continentals bounced back, however, securing their fourth win of the season against Trinity College thanks to a last-second game winning goal by Thomas Healy ’26, who heroically pushed the Continentals to a 9-8 win. Hamilton will face another challenging opponent in seventh-ranked Wesleyan University on Saturday, April 12 at 1 p.m.
Women’s Lacrosse
The women’s lacrosse team lost 7-14 to Trinity College. Continental Alex Orlando ’25 tied her career-high in points with five, with four goals and an assist, but after Orlando evened the score with a goal at 5:40 in the second quarter, Trinity controlled the rest of the game, out scoring Hamilton 6-2 in the third quarter. For their next game, they will host Wesleyan University for Senior Day on Saturday, April 12 at 12 p.m.
Men’s Baseball
From Friday, April 4 to Sunday, April 6, the men’s baseball team faced Williams College three times, dropping all three games, extending their losing streak to five. They lost their first game 2-3, giving up two runs in the eighth inning after leading 2-1. Their second game started close, as Hamilton was down only 1-3 entering the seventh inning. But Williams responded with a six-run seventh inning on three hits and four walks, ending the game by holding Hamilton scoreless in the bottom of the seventh. Hamilton dropped their third game 4-6 against Williams, as the Ephs completed the series sweep. The Continentals’ next three games will be in a season series against Middlebury College on Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12 in Middlebury, Vermont.
Women’s Softball
The women’s softball team faced Colby College twice on Saturday, April 5. They split the games, winning the first game 5-4 in extra innings and losing the second 10-11. Tied at 4 at the top of the eighth inning of the first game, pinch-runner Sofia Santana ’26 scored a go-ahead run off of a wild pitch. Hamilton pitcher Emma Tansky ’25 secured the victory by getting a third out with a third strike in the bottom of the eighth. In the second game, the Continentals led 10-8 at the bottom of the seventh, but Colby responded with a walk and three innings, tying the game at 10, followed by a sac-fly to center field to end the game. Hamilton’s game will be against Bowdoin College on Saturday, April 12.
Men’s Tennis
The men’s tennis team has continued their dominant start to the season, advancing to 11-4 after a tough 2-5 loss to second-ranked Tufts University and a dominant 7-0 victory over Bates College. Against Bates, Hamilton won all six singles matches in straight sets, while collecting the doubles point by winning two out of three matches. The Continentals’ next matches will be on Saturday, April 12, first against Bowdoin College in a NESCAC matchup and second against SUNY Oneonta.
Women’s Tennis
The women’s tennis team suffered a 2-5 loss to seventh-ranked Tufts University on Saturday, April 5, winning just two single matches. However, they rebounded on Senior Day on Sunday, April 6, defeating 37th-ranked Bates College 5-2. Capturing the four single match points, three of which were in straight sets, as well as winning two out of three double matches, the Continentals advanced to a spring season record of 6-5. Their next matches will be against Bowdoin College on Saturday, April 12 and then against Colby College on Sunday, April 13, as they look to gain momentum from their victory over Bates.
Men’s Golf
The men’s golf team tied for third place out of 16 teams in the Trinity College/University of Hartford Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6. Ramon Aroca Gonzalez ’26 earned individual medalist honors for the fourth time this season, while leading the team with a stroke average of 71.46 for 13 rounds. Brian Healy ’25 tied for seventh place out of 85 golfers, recording his season-best totals for 18 and 36 holes, with 72 and 148 respectively. Hamilton’s next tournament is Skidmore College’s Dr. Tim Brown Invitational at Ballston Spa Country Club in Ballston Spa, New York, on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13.
Women’s Golf
The women’s golf team, nationally ranked at No. 15, won the team title in the Trinity College/University of Hartford Spring Invitational on April 5 and 6 in dominant fashion, beating second-place Bates College by 48 strokes. Aubrey Lee ’28 received individual medalist honors for the first time, averaging 77.55 strokes in 11 rounds this season. Keira Joshi ’27 took second place in 32 golfers, one shot behind Lee. Olivia Strigh ’25 took fifth place and Sydney Dweck ’27 took eighth. Hamilton will play in Amherst College’s Jack Leaman Invitational at The Orchards in South Hadley, Massachussettes, on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13.
