A new semester is here, which can only mean one thing. I’ll give you a hint: think
Pitch Perfect
, but at Hamilton. That’s right, you guessed it! Hamilton’s a cappella groups have gone out in search of new members to join these immensely talented singers. I got to ask these new recruits some fun questions in order to get to know more about them and their love for a cappella.

Should a cappella have choreography, or should it strictly be singing?
I think a cappella should have choreography! As a choreographer, I think it can add so much to performances and the creative vision of the directors. It keeps audiences engaged and really brings another level to the performance.
Is this your first time in an a cappella group?
No, I was in an a cappella group in high school for about two and-a-half years.
If stranded, what habitat do you believe your a cappella group would best survive in?
I think we would best survive in a deserted ghost-town-type scenario, kind of like the setting where everything
seems
fine but there’s nothing for miles and everything is just slightly off. I feel like that would make for a good movie honestly, where we have to solve the mystery of the abandoned western ghost town and how to escape.

We would survive best on a tropical island. Then, using ancient Polynesian navigation techniques, we would find our way back to civilization all while singing the
Moana
