Hamilton College men’s lacrosse team (5–9 overall, 1–9 NESCAC) played some top-notch lacrosse this spring on the Hill. The team, which did not have any NESCAC wins last year, picked up a win against a talented Colby College squad early on in this season. Although the team’s record only shows one league win, this does not reflect the hard-fought, high-scoring, contentious games they played against opponents such as Bowdoin College, Connecticut College, Middlebury College, and Trinity College.
Out of league however, the Continentals were able to win the Container Cup against the Greater New Hartford area rival, Utica College, with a score of 18–5. The Continentals posted their best record since 2015, a true credit to the senior leadership from the team. Great contributions from members of the senior class such as Chad Morse ’19 (41 points), Henry Hill ’19 (27 points), and Andrej Bogdanovic ’19 (17 ground balls and 7 caused turnovers).
This talented senior class was also successful because of their hard-working underclass teammates. Players such as Henry Hunt ’20, who led the team with 51 points, contributed to a strong offense alongside sophomore Ben Gardner ’21. Two underclassmen goalies, Max Scheidl ’21 and Seamus Fagan ’22, will backstop the team next season. The men’s lacrosse team is looking ahead to promising years.
