
Women’s squash won three of their four matches this weekend. The team defeated Colby 6–3 on Saturday, Feb. 1, and beat Vassar and Colate, both 9–0, on Sunday, Feb. 2. All members of the women’s team had a win this weekend. Notably, Maddie Sakheim ’22 (right), Sydney Soloway ’22 (left), Eleanor Struthers ’22, and Liesl Guenther ’21 won all four of their matches.
Women’s basketball continued their three game conference win streak on Sunday, Feb 2. The Continentals surged ahead in the 3rd quarter after going into halftime ahead by only one point. The team’s success was largely due to their 16 points form free throws even as they struggled from the field going 17–59. Carly O’hern ’21 (bottom right) had a standout game scoring 22 points, including four three-pointers and a 100% scoring percentage from the line on her eight free throws.
Men’s squash went 3–1 in the Little Squash Center on Saturday, Feb. 1, and Sunday, Feb. 2, during their senior weekend. While they started the weekend with an 8–1 defeat by Colby, they came back to defeat Hobart, Vassar, and Colgate. Aaron Hadar ’23 was the only member of the men’s team to go 4–0 on the weekend. However five players matched the team’s weekend wins with a 3–1 record.
Men’s basketball found success against Wesleyan this past Sunday, Feb. 2, defeating the Cardinals 78–67 in the Margaret Bundy Scott Field House. This was the Continentals first NESCAC win since Jan. 10. Senior captain Kena Gilmour ’20 (bottom left) led the team with 16 points, 3 assists, and 6 rebounds. Two freshman reserves also made a big impact on the court. Patrick Mogan ’23 (top right) went 100% from the floor and contributed 14 points, while Conner Rood ’23 added another 9 for the Continentals.
