On Tuesday, Sept. 26,the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the death of a local community member in the Hamilton College Root Glen. Vice President and Dean of Students Terry Martinez informed the campus community in an all-school email stating,
Dear members of the Hamilton Community.
I am writing to inform you that a member of the local community who is not affiliated with Hamilton College died this morning in Root Glen. Law enforcement and emergency personnel responded, identified the person, and determined that the death does not appear to be suspicious. Please keep the family of the deceased in your thoughts.
