Fall sports are in full swing! As the leaves drift to the ground and the first hints of winter begin to sweep through the area, the Continentals have been giving their all on various fields, pitches and courses. Here are some recent results for Hamilton sports:
Men’s Soccer
The Continentals maintained their unbeaten run this season, defeating Utica by the resounding score of 5–0. Sam Webber ’23, Ross Eagle ’26, Luke Ehrenfreund ’25, Sam Meyerowitz ’24 and Charles Hawthorn ’25 scored goals for the Continentals, while goalie Kai Haesslein ’24 refused to allow the opposing team a single goal for the third time this season. The team moves to 8–0–1 this season, with the lone draw coming against Wesleyan on Sep. 25. With an impressive record and momentum behind them, the Continentals look to log another win on Oct. 8 as they clash with Bates on Love Field.
Field Hockey
With a 3–1 win at St. Lawrence on Oct. 5, the field hockey team moved to 6–3 this season. After a scoreless first half, Delaney Grace ’25 scored via a penalty stroke early in the third quarter. The Continentals then put the game out of reach with further scores by Lilly Truchon ’26 and Maura Holden ’23. Goalie Abby Griffin ’26 had a rock-solid performance in net, shutting St. Lawrence out until a lone goal with barely 90 seconds left in the game. On Oct. 8, the Continentals will play Bates at home.
Women’s Golf
At the Phinney Women’s Golf Classic, first-year Peyton Sichol ’26 led the Continentals with a field-topping performance on Oct. 1 and Oct 2. Sichol scored 158 in the 36-hole tournament, posting an even split of 79 across the two days. With many in future seasons ahead, Sichol’s future is extremely bright. Maddie Hong ’23 followed Sichol by tying for a fifth-place finish, Sophia Weinstein ’24 tied at 30th, and Olivia Strigh ’25 tied at 36th. Alaina McKeen ’24 competed as an individual and finished ninth. All told, the Continentals placed fourth among 12 teams. They are ranked 24th nationally and will compete this weekend at the NESCAC Championship Qualifier in Massachusetts.

Men’s Golf
Hamilton placed fifth among ten teams at the Binghamton University Matthews Auto Collegiate Invitational on Oct. 2 and 3. Billy Geach ’23 led the way by tying for fifth place in the 59-golfer field, followed by Ramon Aroca Gonzalez ’26, who tied for eighth. Will Whittaker ’25 and Tommy Kantaros ’24 placed in the top 50, and Jacob Zeng ’24 played individually and finished 24th. The Continentals will compete this weekend at the Skidmore College Invitational on Oct. 8 and 9.
Women’s Soccer
The Continentals beat Union College 3–1 on the road on Oct. 4. Hamilton applied heavy offensive pressure early on, firing several shots at goal, and scored twice in the opening half, Hyla Mosher ’23 and Evie McCreery ’26 doing the damage. Sarah Roth ’25 scored midway through the second half to put the game out of reach. Union had an 8–1–0 record going into the clash compared to Hamilton’s 3–2–3, their defense impressively limiting opponents to just one goal in total prior to this game, but the Continentals played as if pressure-proof in the convincing win. Like the men’s team, women’s soccer have their next game at home against Bates on Oct. 8.
